A while ago I decided to end an association with a few people. It wasn’t out of malice or confrontations, it was more of a survival thing.
In friendships you are normally quite happy to help in hard times. The old song ‘Lean on Me’ coming to mind strongly in this case, however when your offered shoulder to lean on is turned into another’s emotional crutch, you tend to start feeling the weight in a very unfriendly way. Put another way, if you are a grown adult, feeling like you are Harry Potter with his invisibility cloak lurking around the interwebz, its time to pull the pin because anyone who is happy about being compared to young Mr Potter is probably psychotically optimistic and definitely in need of permanent and full time supervision.
Another sign something is wrong is when a follower on your blog has found themselves blocked and then proceed to announce in a rather triumphant way, ‘Ha! That won’t stop me, I’ll just go through another blog and still see what ever I want to!’ Well, how nice for you. Personally I would have got the hint that perhaps I should leave the person involved alone so they might in turn get on with their own lives.
Obviously not.
Hence, this place, my bunker for the time being. While I still love doing blogs and putting up pictures of where I have been, until some other people get the message my other blogs will go on hiatus. Here’s hoping it’s not for too long. If anyone reading this is feeling that I am talking about them, I’m not. The page is set up in a way that unless you accessed this from facebook, you will not know of it’s existence, and if you are on my facebook then obviously I don’t have any problems with you.
Some of you might notice there is no followers list on this page either, that is because if you do have a small stroke and decide you want to follow please be a private follower, then others cannot come onto the site using your site as their backdoor. Having dribbled on like that, I guess you can understand my inspiration behind the blogs name. Someone please cue the creepy circus music now. Oh well, at least life isn’t boring.
